bummer, my brother and i want to talk to the governor and see if we can have a demolition derby with all the clunker cars and charge admission then give the money back to the government. Really we just want to break stuff.

When i find my camera charger ill take some good pics of the utterly ghetto-ness of this bike. Its horrible, its dangerous. Its awesome. its gonna fall apart mid run one of these days, cool.

but what i have i taken a bad photo of now? oooohhhhhh

clipless pedals again i say! been 18 months since i last clipped in, before the hardtail got stolen, so this will be interesting. Lucky for me im a victim of the global financial crisis an have been jobless for, like, 8 weeks now (sorry landlady) and have a fair bit of time to ride haha.

It is in fact a front tire, and I'll sacrifice some turning for the ability to have some traction up hills (I found this layout gives me the best traction). And everything is setup exactly the same way on this bike as on the old one was, just I think The shorter chainstays may have changed the way I ride a bit (I ride more neutrally then before when I leaned the bike more)

First new bike in 13 years! It's a Windsor Cliff29 Pro. Got it Friday and assembled. Took it for a trail ride on Saturday. I couldn't do any real mt biking since the Tora Race came pretty soft and I don't have a pump. I locked it out and went for a ride with the family. I rides much lighter than it weighs (29#). I ended up getting a 17" frame since the specs were very similar to my other bikes. The only thing off is the stem is shorter than my other bikes, so the cockpit is about an inch shorter. Not a real big deal, but I'm trying to decide whether to get the 120mm stem or a laid back seat post to make up the inch? The ride was great, I'm really looking forward to getting on some techinical single track. Initial observations: The hydr discs are great. The X7 derailers/shifters work perfectly, although I still think I may switch out the rapid fires for twisters in the future. It does roll nicely and seem to keep speed, but it doesn't feel as 'sharp' or 'nimble' as my 24# C-dale. A good day in the woods should give me a feel for that though. The pics

No its just red dirt.

Zephyr11 09-10-09 06:26 PM

New bike. Sold the XC hardtail since everything it did, the Yeti did better, and used the cash to take advantage of an '09 closeout.

Staring down the new addition:

The mountain bike armada (since "stable" is on the mountain bike forum taboo list :p ):
