Here's some more on the Specialized M2 Pro:

https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...d04cf58f27.jpg

Specialized had many Ritchey components on this bike, including a Ritchey Force Lite bar, Ritchey Logic pedals in red, and a Nitto\Ritchey seatpost. But over the years almost all of them were thrashed beyond repair.

https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...3eaefda983.jpg

This is what sold me; a M950 Shimano XTR Rear Derailleur. The bike had an XTR rear mech and an XT Front mech that clamped on the seat tube.

https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...054c22009e.jpg

Specialized had this great Son of Strong Arm Crankset, which I sold. Later, I found this M952 five arm XTR on eBay. I thought the five arm looked better.

I learned a lot about this bike as well as myself, after changing so many components over the years. I'll probably never sell the bike, but being over 20 years old now (!!), it's getting harder to find good components for it.
You know, I'm surprised there aren't that many talking about 90's Stumpjumpers. Maybe these photographs might change that. Thanks.

I've got a bunch of the old 8-9 speed XTR stuff in my basement, even the old Rapid-rise, remote shifter, 4-arm cranks.. XTR stuff... some NOS still in box.
Let me know if you're looking for replacement parts.

Thank you, for the offer. But I am actually trying to sell some parts and framesets myself.

Nice Stumpjumper, and great condition also. Its great to see original owners on these old bikes. I understand about the parts, I have this 93 Breezer that is getting more and more pricey to keep running in somewhat period-correct high-end condition.

Alright, new update on the DV9 and additions to the family. My wife didn't feel the Air 9 so my 17 y/o daughter snagged it, now my wife is on a 2018 Orbea Loki H10 (It's an H-LTD++ after I upgraded it, lol)

DV9 went from GX Eagle to XX1 Eagle, 2 wheelsets for trails and gravel/road and Sram Code RSC brakes 180mm F/R, CB Stamp 11 pedals, Ergon GA3 grips in red, Chris King Headset, Industry 9 40mm red stem and changed the teal color to red (Looks red/orange, close enough)

Wife's Loki got GX Eagle drivetrain upgrade (from Shimano SLX i think), Code RSC brakes 180mm F/R, 760mm CF handlebars, CB Stamp 5 pedals, Ergon GA3 grips in blue and an industry 9 40mm blue stem.

^ I usually think the gold of XX1 is too bling, but with the black, white and red it looks great! Nice job HyBr1D

Wow everyone! I just got a 2018 Trek Fuel EX 29 and need to personalize it a bit since it looks too generic, this is good inspiration.

lovely bike I have been eying s works and stumpjumpers for years on ebay but the ones I have seen were often in bad shape and with a lot of dings and scratches, also I am not sure that it would be the most comfortable ride for me. Are the wheels 27.5??

No, they are 26" or 559. I've seen many turn Stumpjumpers and Hard Rocks converted from 26" to 27.5".
