lovely bike I have been eying s works and stumpjumpers for years on ebay but the ones I have seen were often in bad shape and with a lot of dings and scratches, also I am not sure that it would be the most comfortable ride for me. Are the wheels 27.5??

It’s 26 inch. When I purchased the bike back in 1997, it was $1500. I waited three months of paychecks to get it. Eventually, I used the Specialized as a touring bike, as well as a full on cross country mountain bike.

It’s a classic bike. Everyone should own a classic bike to ride anyway.

Finished the build on this one today: 2000 Rockhopper. Wheels and seatpost were off my 2001 Stumpy and so was the homemade chainring bashguard. Avid brakes off my Heckler. Bars were in my parts bin.
