Anyone ever installed 700x23 tires on D.T. Swiss Wheels?
I wanted to install 700x23 tires on my D.T. Swiss wheels on my FS 29er. Anybody know if this is possible? I'd like to just try it out before I actually buy a separate set of wheels for road use only.

How wide are the rims?
Measure and use Sheldon's table. There is some slack on either side as well, IMO. |

Sounds like the rims would be too wide for those tires. I have 16mm rims and I use 32mm wide tires on my commuter bike.

Based on this table from Peter White Cycles: http://www.peterwhitecycles.com/tourtand.asp
I would recommend no less than 700x28 for a 24mm rim. |
I was going to recomment 28c aswell.

I'm curious why your first choice was 23c

compared to what your wheels are designed to run 28c IS skinny

they'll fit, you will just run a much larger than normal risk of having the bead unseat while you are flying down a hill at 40 mph.
Imagine the fun. |

Why not 25c, if 24 is the current width of my rim?
I had a bike with one of the 24mm rims on the list. And its rims had a sticker that said that the minimum allowable tire width was 28mm. Of course, you could try to push it with a 25mm. |
What happened to this idea?
