Bunnyhoppin' how high can ya go?

Just curious, how high can you folks bunnyhop? On my 20"(few years ago), I could go 2 feet (almost to the inch), but now, probably 6-10"s on my mountain bike (hardtail)(curbs aren't a problem). What about you folks?

Instead of your nice Bighit, maybe you need a 150$ FS with coil spring shok\ no dampning . Bet you could get it bouncing FEET off the ground, 'till it broke.
Borrow some kids bike and don't snap it, done that with a kids skateboard @ the ferry terminal, had to get his parents # and go to town and get a new deck. felt like SUCH a meanie.

I go 6 inches- close to 10, if It's a case of do or die. Can't do a foot.

I was kidding. I don't honestly know how high I bunny hop. For me it is a tool on the trail. Never bothered to measure it

I knew you were jokin.

To measure:

I was thinking about making tiny pole vault poles and raise the bar. Could be the funniest thing the kids on the street have had to watch yet,

Like with little flags on top of the poles, and maybe I'll make a cheering section out of plastic toy people.

Yaaa, for me.

I know roughly how high from civic stuff I hop\ or almost.

I have considered doing that as well. Something to play on and practice. Not really to measure but to help me go higher. I don't know how high but not more than a foot.

I dont know how high i can exactly bunny hop, but i can get up a 3 ft tall wall give or take no problem, but i dont think its a pure bunny hop. I dont see myself doing it, but im pretty sure my rear tire is hitting the wall more than half way up so its not all smooth, so i am pulling myself up with my front end at the same time, but i can comfortably say i can hop about 2-3 ft on my azonic ds1 and about 1-2ft on my stinky. its the only skill i have.

Im saying that this isnt exact, i probably am exaggerating but im pretty sure that they are 3ft walls im getting up because they are much taller than my bike wheels. im going out urban riding again tomorrow so i can probably get some pics or a video of the walls i get up. dont hurt me

Ya well, me clipped in or on a bmx, little different. And when I was 20 years old.

HEY MAELSTROM!>>>>>>>>>>>>> picked up a tip from you about zapstrapping your derailler.
I now ride with a few in the kit, Endo'd today, blew the rim and had to disconnect rear brake.
They came in very handy to secure the stuff to the side- Thanks.

Dang, I've gotta be getting close to...I don't know...9 inches. Curbs get boring after a while, so I don't practice much.

I've never measured, but I can clear logs and other obstacles that I would guesstimate to be about 10 to 12 inches. I've cleared some construction ribbon that was over 12 inches, but I was feeling good that day. I think I could easily clear 18" if I had to and/or with some practice.

I can hop probably about 8 inches, but like mael said I use it as a tool on the trails, and never really measure it.

I usually don't try and totally clear much more than a 12-14" log while trail riding at speed.
I could prolly get 18-20" over the mini pole vault apparatus described above.

With no obstacal I can only hop about 3-4 inches, but with an obstacal I can probably get closer to 7 or 8 inches with out touching the obstacal. If it's like hopping onto a ledge, I can probably get up a 12-15 inch ledge and hit it with my rear tire, but still get up.

This is with my bighit comp, but with my hardtail, I can probably just make it up a curb.

18" = 1/2 meter
(for bunnyhopping measurement purposes, anyway)
