Do your chains fall from the proper track if you backwards pedal for too long? Mine does

Also if you try to do it while your chainline is out of alignment you won't be able to pedal backwards

They're not supposed to. Does it happen on every rear cog? I have one or two cogs that don't allow me to back pedal for too long - I suspect the cogs may be damaged.
