the latter is a capture from a crappy video and the first one is work done with photoshop. i did it because i like the action pic, but did want it to have the crappy picture look(if that made any since)

and the reason i put the laugh out loud on there is because i was tickled buy the results.
i consider myself an artist(sometimes) and if i were doing a water painting i would strive for it to look like the picture titled "bikepicwater"

Photoshop only wastes time if you don't know how to use it. It has a learnig curve like anything else worth doing but make no mistake the only people claiming that Gimp or what ever are even in the ball park are the ones who DON'T know how to take real advantage of Adobe's genius.

This from a product designer who gets to play with pretty much any software I want including the likes of Alias etc.

i really did'nt intend for this to be a dig on which photo editing software is the best but to show off an acomplishment of mine (minor to some) i probably could have done the same thing on the gimp which i have installed on my linux computers(3) but as it turned out i was on my lone windows machine and did something i thoough was really cool. i guess another hope was to kind get an edited photo thread to show off your skills or just have fun playing with images.
