As I said in your other thread, go check it out. $400 seems almost too good, look closely.

I've talked to him, he seems very professional. he has three bikes and this is the one he rides the least. He wants 50, but i low balled at 350 and he said he will take 400. Says everything is in excellent shape, I'm going to check it out on tuesday.

any tips on ways I can really examine everything to make sure its a good deal. (besides inspect frame for cracks, etc.)?

i rode one of those for years and loved it.

they were sold only as a frameset in europe (maybe canada...) i loved mine, and have no complaints about the frame at all, everything i could want or expect in an alum frame. the rear dropouts are super beefy and the tugnuts are great at keeping the wheel in place. he has his set up with v-brakes... don't know if you care about ever converting to discs, but if you do, you need to ask him if he still has the adapter... you will need it.

if it gives you any perspective, i sold mine with comparable parts, except i had bb7 discs, for $600.
