MTB fit

I'm mostly a roadie that started mountain biking to give my training a much needed variety. I have a Kona kula 2008 that I enjoy very much but I'm thinking in getting a FS frame and transfer all my parts. My frame is size 17" and this is how I look (sorry but my wife isn't very good with the camera). I'm looking into the yeti ASR alloy (NOT the band new 5" travel) since I'm 5'7" the recommended size is SMALL.

Since I have shorter legs I'm worried that I'm too vertical or forward on the bike. Should I get a similar size (that will mean the SMALL) or opt for the MEDIUM.

Thanks very much for your input

Actually it is almost level but I have about 6cm in my road bike.

And yes it is 17", that's what the sticker says

Thanks you all. I always thought I was running a small frame but wanted to be sure before spending the money. For some reason the guys and the LBS thought the fit was right

I'm 5'8" and ride a 15" frame. It fits me pretty well.
