U and B2B......This saddle isn't for sitting. It's for keeping my giblets from smacking my down tube and seatpost upon biffed landing

The frame's a bit too small to be sitting and pedaling on trails.

That's because slamming your saddle isn't just about how you ride it. It's also about the penetration factor. You have to get it in there deep, until it won't go in any further. Then, and only then, can you straddle that thing and start pumping.
