Dude, check out mah new chain.

It's so state of the art, you can't see it.

Not really, just snapped the sram one that was on there climbing.

kenhill3 10-22-09 08:46 PM

Suck.

So, Mr. Nihilator, would you be willing to impart to us a short treatise on this particular chain?

Dannihilator 10-22-09 08:56 PM

Clearly, the chain is made out of glass.

The state of the art one or the sram chain, your choice.

Once back to the car, I fixed the chain since I had forgotten to put any loose pieces of chain in my pack. Which meant, walking the bike up hills, scootering it along flat sections and for gaining momentum heading towards descents. Yes, I still rode the downhills on the way back to the trail head.

7th time I snapped this sram chain.

HeyitsDave 10-22-09 09:07 PM

Pardon my ignorance but shouldn't a chain go in the trash after breaking the very first time? Let alone 7?

Yeah, I'm just going until I run out of loose pieces of chain.

"park closes at 6:00pm" ?? WTF ??
That sucks way worse than your chain woes.
Holy party-poopers. You must live in Utah or something.

Dannihilator 10-22-09 10:08 PM

Yeah that's my only complaint about the place is the closing time, the closing time changes as the sunset does. BTW, NJ

craigcraigcraig 10-22-09 10:12 PM

Dannihilator 10-22-09 10:15 PM

Unfortunately.

craigcraigcraig 10-22-09 10:37 PM

haha i hear ya, my neighbors have horses and he even rides his to the bar so he doesn't have to drive home drunk the horse knows the way.

wheeldeal 10-22-09 10:50 PM

How high can you bunny hop with that bike?

Dannihilator 10-22-09 10:56 PM

Never really tried to see how high I can but I have gotten it over a foot and a half without trying too hard.

Luke52 10-22-09 11:06 PM

Are you still using that bike for singletrack???

flying w 10-23-09 03:18 PM

the early closing time is nothing compared to the attentiveness and skill required to catch the dog poo in midair

Yes, I'd sooner have a bike that can handle a bit of everything than a xc bike.
