Want to use my Moots bar and stem together, but...

I have a Moots bar and a Moots stem. However, the stem clamp is 31.8 and the bar is one inch in diameter. I suppose my only option -- should I wish to use these together -- is to use one of those fat shims...

Okay I could buy a new mtn stem (25.4) but I'm still using a shim. Any advice?

Cheers

I'm not sure that I understand. Why would you still need to use a shim with the 25.4 stem?

Oh, that's because the vast majority of ti handlebars are one inch in diameter, meaning they will need a shim.

I guess my question is: do I go with the 'normal' thin shim and buy a 25.4 clamp stem, or a thick shim and my 31.8 stem?

Cheers
