help me decide on my first bike please!
im looking for my first hardtail mountain bike and have a budget of £550. i dont really know anything regarding specs and want a good spec bike that also looks good. The bike will be used for commutin to work but also some off road/xc at the weekends.
The bikes that i like the look of are the scott aspect 20 2009, carrera fury 2009, GT Avalanche 2010, focus fatboy 2009 and the focus fatboy northern lite all of which are around the £500-550 mark.
i was almost decided on the scott aspect as it as been reduced from £700 to £550 but people have been telling me the fury 2009 is a much better bike. From what i have picked up on sites about spec the focus fatboy northern lite looks like good spec and its been reduced from 700 to 525 but doesnt look as good as the others!
I would be extremely grateful if people could give me some feedback/views on these bikes or any bike in my price range that looks nice with the best spec possible
