Do 15'' Full-Suspensions frames have space for a water bottle ?
I currently have a 15'' Hardtail that has space for one water bottle. I was wondering if a Full-Suspension 15'' frame would still have space for that cage mount.
I wanna know in general, but also specific to the Specialized Stumpjumper FSR. Link to that bike is here: (I'm looking at 26'' wheels only) http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bc/...enuItemId=9248 |
My bike has plenty of space for a cage (XS Yeti AS-R). I don't have one mounted though. Camelbak for me.

it has mounts on it so it would probably have space but there also appears to be room on the other side of the frame. ive seen a few pics with the water bottle set up that way
but seriously a camelbak is the way to go |

Specialized doesn't sell their bikes online, so you'd have to buy it in a store anyway. That gives you plenty of time to look at the bike to see whether or not it has room for a cage.
Ah, what the hey, I love posting this picture. :D http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-...17909_5892.jpg This is the XS. I don't know the geometry off the top of my head, but I don't think any of my bikes are bigger than 15". Tons of room. I don't see why there would be *that* much less on a Stumpy. |
What year stumpy are you talking about? My 08 does have one bottle cage spot but when I put the cage on it with a bottle of gatorate it interfered with the rear shock lever so I took it off.
By the way my bike is size medium. |
I just noticed that you have the link for the 2010 model. You'll be able to put one cage only on that frame because specialized runs their Rear brake line, front and the rear derauler cables under the frame so what you see in the picture is the screws for the plastic cable retainers.

About seeing the bike at the store, well, they don't typically have such expensive bikes there, they usually only go up to Rockhoppers, and Stumpys are catalog order only. |
No bottle won't interfere with the shock with that set up, you'll be fine.

I was also thinking I could better the situation with a side-loader water cage. I've never actually seen one but I know they exist.
