Video taping while riding...
:D Does anyone out there strap on a video camera somewhere on their bike or helmet when riding the trail? If so, what do u recomend I get to do this. Is there a cheap way of doing this? What equpiment do I need? I don't want to spend big bucks on a camera just to have it devoured by a trail.
( I heard of some thing called a "lip stick" camera) Thanks!! :) |
viosport makes a good headcam.

I got a camera made for dirtbiking called a helmet cam. ITs pretty much indestructible Ive had tree branches hit it going 30mph and nothings happened. Got it for $90 used.

The lipstick cams that are available to consumers in the $200 range still fall far short of the quality of video that you get from the video camera itself. Some info on DIY video systems: http://www.petefagerlin.com/video_how_to.htm. |

If you have a small video camera already, just tape it to the top of your helmet. I did this recently in Les Gets and did 4 hours of freeride with it and didn't have a problem. The video quality is also better doing it this way than using a lipstick camera. As i said you have to already have a SMALL camera.

suggest you check out Xtreme Recall. they have a protector for your camcorder that will also protect you if you crash. a must have if you are taking video off road
