Anything made by Brooks Saddles - unless you're a weight weenie

Fixed

I'm partial to the SDG Ti-Fly C, but I haven't used the Rocket V. Only WTB I've used is the Speed V, which isn't bad, but I don't like it as much as the Fly.

I ran a rocket v on my road bike for a year or two. It's like an azz lazy boy for bikes.

The saddle you have on the bike is my favorite.

WTB Rocket V is really popular, but I prefer WTB Silverado. Silverado is a different shape than the Rocket V--Silverado is more flat across the top, which keeps my middle section (if you know what I mean) off the saddle better than a rounder saddle across the top. Silverado is also very light--I think their heaviest model of the silverado is 270g; my model of the silverado is 190g.

I actually use a Selle San Marco Regal Ti on my Gary Fisher Rig. Typically this saddle is run as a road/cyclocross saddle but it seems to work just fine for my MTB. I like the way the WTB's look but have never tried one. I usually take around a 145-150 wide saddle. I love Brooks but they are heavy and I wouldn't want to get mine all full of mud all the time and have to get it wet and all that crap. Brooks should stay beautiful by staying on the road IMO.

I used to have wtb rocket V which was good but on long rides it was making the boys waaaay to hot so swiched to specialized avatar gel now we are much happier. :D

HEY, we got language standards here. Watch yer mouth!

I see a lot of mixed reviews on the WTB Rocket V, due to bent rails, versus ones that keep going strong. Is this because of the different rail materials? Are the ti rails stronger, or is it more to do with the weight and riding style of the owner?
