Specialized shoe warranty

Hi everyone,

Just hoping anyone around here knew some details or had experience with the Specialized shoe warranty. I have a pair that's about 8 months old and the upper of the shoe is starting to pull away from the hard sole. It's happening mostly on the inner of the shoe (big toe side) where the sole or hard plastic from the sole comes up a bit higher.

They've haven't even been used for MTB, only on bike paths and road riding (I know I know) and not all that often as I've been slack. I'm thinking it's only going to get worse as I get better at using them ie. pulling up on the pedals.

So I am thinking about returning them.

They are the 'sport' model, the lowest end I believe.

Specialized is pretty good with their warranties and service. First, try taking them back to the shop. If the shop says they can't do it, email them directly. Although my issue was with a saddle, they were very prompt and replaced it in days.
