CATS(?) 80's(?) carbon mountain bike?

so i came into an old carbon MTB frame that i've been slowly building up. so far so good, but i know nothing about the frame, or the company that made it, and have been unable to find anything online. i figure it's from the late 80's early 90's by the decals, but that's just a guess. does anyone recognize the frame? the only things written on the frame other than the name (which i think is CATS, could be CATO... you'll see) is "Carbon Composite" on the top tube, "the ultimate bicycles" on the headtube, and "German Design" with a circle of stars on the seat tube. i cross posted this in the C&V forum as well. thanks for any help!

Did you ever determine what this bike was? I think its German-I just picked up a City/Hybrid of the same brand (see pic on link) but cant find any info-
It says "German Designed" on the tubing- and also says CrMo 4/30 on the tubing--------- Just curious.........
