You will have to buy an adaptor. Depending on what fork you have.

i will have the drop off 11 on it buy the time i get the brake, wat kind of adapter are u talking about

Maelstrom 08-20-04 01:28 PM

Its a small piece of aluminum that attaches to the fork. Runs about 30 cdn I think

krazykxrider 08-20-04 01:59 PM

wat does it do

Maelstrom 08-20-04 02:29 PM

it mounts to the fork to allow the caliper to attach to the fork.

krazykxrider 08-20-04 02:32 PM

but i thought i could use the stock caliper

Maelstrom 08-20-04 03:07 PM

you can .... but for 8in you should need an adaptor for youre fork

krazykxrider 08-20-04 03:35 PM

dou u have a link for an adapter

Maelstrom 08-20-04 03:43 PM

can;t you find it?....sorry but I don't have time to search for a link for a product I don't use. I am not even 100% sure you will need one but assume you will to accomodate the size diff (I assume you are running 6in)

krazykxrider 08-20-04 04:25 PM

sorry

Well, most brake manuf. will include an adaptor with their brakes or will provide you with the info you need.

Call the shop (or online retailer) and ask if one comes with the brakes.

I would think if you get an 8" rotor and caliper kit, it should come with the necessary adapter.
