Last Minute Choice: 2007 or 2009 XXIX?

Yup, Asking this question one last time. Tomorrow after 2:30 i am finally going to buy a new bicycle...but im in a pickle.

I have two chices of a Raleigh XXIX
A used-2007-Only upgrade is another sprocket in the rear
Bad-Original tires, and somewhat rusty nuts and bolts(in various spots)
$350 or less

A NEW 2009
All original...Shop new...From a shop
$610-Dpubt i could work the shop down from that price...or could i if i paid in cash?

I like the 2009, For the bigger disc in front and the color, but i like the 2007 because its cheap.

Either of these bikes would be my first 29er, and im just trying to make the right choice.
Right now, im heading towards new, but i dont know if this is the smartest move. Figured i'd ask some people on here who have had experience on 29ers and whatnot.

Thanks alot guys!

Definitely the new one. Sounds like the 2007 model has been ridden hard and put away wet(pun intended)
