Can someone help me ID this bike? - Pls hlp!!

A friend of mine is selling this mtn bike and heís giving me first dibs on it. Only truble is, Im new to mountain bikes only been riding for a couple months and still know nothing about them whats good whats not. But Iíve been assembling swingsets for like 40 years now so am pretty handy with a crescent wrench and with sporting goods in general so I thought id like to try fixing up a bike to ride.

I cant make out the lettering on the slant-pipe of the chassis but I think it says something like Foes or maybe Ibis or possibly Ingezblatz . . . I dont no. My buddy cant remember because I think he was stoned at the time he bought it from his sketchy cousin and then got sideswiped by this crazy f-er in an 18 wheeler not too long after and he parked it and swore off mountain biking.

He says its not that old and its nearly in the same pristine condition as the day he bouhgt it. He tells me everyoneís gone to riser bars now which this has so thats good right? It looks like it has gears front and back and he also says that it has the most advanced suspension system known to man - - since shocks have been discredited as being too boingy and sucking all your power that the real men in the know have all gone ridged since they no it makes everyone a better rider cause you learn every pebble in the trail and the skilz on how to avoid them.

He says its proly worth $500 as it sits but he thinks he has a Troxel saddle heíll throw in free and even knock the price down to $275 because Iím such a good bud and all. Is that a good deal?

Thx!

Actually you are wrong. That is another bike I saw today made from a very raer metal. From what I rmember when Neil Armstrong came from the moon he brought these rocks which happen to be some undustructable metal so what NASA did was add some diamond pieces to it make it much stronger so it'd whitsand the heat of the atmospheric reentry from space. But then one of the engineers said why don't we make a bike out of this metal so we can launch it in to space and try to Mt bike on the moon?

So that's how this bike was conceived and it's name is moonshine.

I think that bike has disk breaks so it's for sure worth 275. you should by it.

It's the bike Lance Amrstrong used to cross the finish line in the 2006 Tour. It's a collector's gem -- but don't pay more than $3000 for it.
