I use a Brooks B17 narrow. This seems to be somewhat unusual for my area, though. Really just go with whatever gets good reviews. It's more about proper positioning IMO. However, some saddles just won't work for some people. If you can, I'd recommend asking around in your area to see what's popular.

Man, this subject is as subjective as what beer you like. Hard to say. Alot of my seat quest is hit and miss depending on what I want. But I have always found the Forte T1 Tri Seat from Performance a go to seat. Did I mention it is like 1/4 the price of most seats that feel like a brick between your cheeks!

I have always used this seat for my road bikes so I don't know as far as a mtn bike???? May be good for that too.
