Ceramic bottom bracket.

Has anyone have any experience with them? How does it feel compared to a non ceramic bb? is it that much smoother? Also, is it reliable? and how fragile is it?

I was running an FSA ceramic BB (hybrid--ceramic balls in steel cups) in my road bike.

I couldn't tell the difference between it or a DuraAce or Ultegra external BB. The reason I got it was that at the time, I had killed a couple of BBs riding through deep water and the ceramic should survive such abuse a little better since the balls are not steel.

Just put one on the KHS and with the bike in the stand with no chain on the chainrings. It seems to spin with ease and longer over steel bearings. It's also Anodized blue which was the main selling point... LOL

Fully ceramic balls and races? Hybrid? Feel it more in your wallet than anywhere else IMHO...

Well I was hanging out at my lbs and were shootn the S@#$ and one of the guys who is a raodie was talking about how smooth the ceramic BBs are compared to steel ones, and they last longer and blah blah blah. so I came home and decided to ask you guys about it and while I was at it I found this on price point I didn't order it but the price is tempting. :D
