yea, the first time somebody gave me a link to their site, I looked at that bike for awhile....pretty cool

I'm not even going to try to pretend to understand how that thing works but it does look like if they use a stock float then reverse the other one they can get rebound and dampening adjustments with out the extra cost.

Pretty cool setup- I assume the second shock acts as a large negative air chamber to counter pedaling force? If so then the negative chamber on each shock would act to cushion the rebound of both positive and negative shocks?

Yes, the frame is interesting, but I object strongly to the minimally-spoked wheels, particularly for offroad use.

I read recently about minimally spoked wheels, I wish I still had the article. They explained how a wheel with 18 spokes can be as strong as a wheel with 36. It has to do with spoke tension and rim strength. Back in the day, they had to use 36 spokes because the rim wasn't strong enough for high spoke tension. Now however, rims are strong enough to with stand something like 1000 footpounds I think is what is was..Anyway, spoke tension is directly related to wheel strength. So the quality of the rim makes for less spokes and a lighter wheel.

Here's how the suspension works:

This frame is totally unique, incorporating a compound dual rear suspension system that transfers absortion to the part of the frame that needs it most - come out of the saddle and the back end gets real stiff as the front beam comes up and makes the pivot arm shift rearward. This is GREAT for climbing up hills. In the saddle, the absorbtion is mostly under you. It pivots smoothly, and flexes very similiar to a motocross motorcycle.
This bike tracks beautifully - very very stable at high speeds on bumpy surfaces.

I own that exact bike, but with a matching yellow swingarm and different wheelset.

Are you one of the mods of this site? Are there rules that say I can't post to a thread that is old? Ask yourself WTF is this site for? It's not your personal chat board. It's for riders seeking information. It's a way for people to find out information. Unfortunately the internet is filled with garbage - like your post.

It doesn't matter how old the thread is because someone looking at buying one of these bikes (there is one on Ebay right now) could do a search to find out more and come across this post so it indeed is meaningful whereas yours is just disrespectful.

In other words, my post could help someone. Yours was just a slam. Looking at your profile (9+ posts per day) I wonder how many of your posts are actually helpful in any way.

So I suggest that if you don't have anything helpful to add to the thread, don't post anything at all.

Abrasive yes. Actually though, he's on here day in and out where I for example sometimes disappear for months, and he does have some good advice to offer. At least he really does know about bikes. Some guys don't have a clue and spout off the worst tripe. So on the whole I'd view him as a positive here (as if my opinion matters ;) ).

I have looked at his posts. You're right, he does have some good things to offer. Just not this time.

He does have a lot of good information, just not always polically correct. He does grow on you after a while and you start looking forward to reading his posts. He says what a lot of us think just don't know how to say "correctly". He just says it. Don't know why but I respect that. :)

You should have looked at the damn date this topic was created before bumping it, thread closed.
