Just out of interest...
Everyone I know calls clipless pedals 'spuds' as a sort of generic name for SPDs (a bit like all vacuum cleaners are 'hoovers'). Do you call them 'Ess-Pee-Dees', 'clipless pedals', 'spuds' or something else ?

I refer to them as "clipless". If I need to get more specific, I usually ask what "brand". i.e. Shimano's or Time's or Cook Bros.....etc.
