Looking to buy a 29er !! What do u Recommend ?

I went into local Jamis and Specialized shops, but I can't make up my mind.
I am willing to spend around $1000
Jamis offered me a new Exile 1 for $650,
While a comparable Specialized would cost me around $200 more.
.............Should I keep searching

I am 6'3 in height and have been told with a 29" tires to use a 19" frame

With a 29er, do I really need a full suspension bike, or is a hard-tail enough..

I want disc brakes. I want gears.
Bike can be new or used ...

What do you recommend, please help, thanks ....

Yeah, if someone your height came in looking for a 29er I'd put them on a 21". I'm 5'10.5" and ride a 19" comfortably. I love my Fuji Tahoe, actually waiting for my 2nd one to show up on Tuesday. But the Jamis and Specialized, both under a grand? Sounds like a pretty good deal if they're new.
