That was a great brand of bike during the 90's. The 5200 was an entry level front suspension bike. It should be worth @$100-$150 depending on how its been used and kept. I liked the Wheeler name but never owned one.

Check

I have a chance to buy one for $40-$45, and I wondered if it was worth it. It is in good shape. Hasn't been used in years.

I went to the link you posted. It looked like a fairly good bike back in 1997, but I am wondering if it is worth the money the person is asking?

I'd pick it up for $45. Beats a Huffy!

I just picked one up at a garage sale for $25. It is in great shape, except the headset is missing the star nut, cap and bolt. Don't think it was ever ridden that way -- it has a thick layer of garage dust on it. Seems like a very nice bike, with a full double butted cromoly frame.

Great bike older bike. I have a 7900.. headsets were quirky. You may have issues finding dérailleur hangers - make sure it's not bent.
