Ebay Giant frames from China - Fishy? Or real?
https://cgi.ebay.com/2008-GIANT-MTB-A...#ht_4748wt_993
This buyer has stacks of Giant frames. Looking at claimed geometry and the physical appearance of the frames they look "right" but the model years, paint jobs, decals, and model names don't EXACTLY match anything I can find on the Giant website.
Has anyone bought from this seller, or another overseas source? Are these frames simply undocumented legit frames, or is it likely they're seconds, fakes, or worse?

Well, after some creative googling, it looks like there are "real" Giant frames sold on eBay like this that are Asian market products, hence the mismatches to the US Giant website.
Thinking about trying one of these, since they're so dirt cheap. Still would love to hear from someone who's tried one.

When you to to Giant's main site, click on either Korea or Japan to see the Asian spec'd bikes. The site is still in 75 percent English. I am in South Korea now and bought a Giant XTC 2. What you will find is that they equip their bikes with much better components than the US versions. They also have some different models. Absolutely real Giant bikes.....

Well, I pulled the trigger. ~$180 shipped for a decent quality, brand new frame is hard to resist. Now we'll see how long shipping takes!

The frame arrived today. That was much faster than I'd expected, considering it was traveling from China to the east coast of the US.
It looks like a nice frame. Unfortunately, the seller basically threw it in a big cardboard box with no padding or other packaging material, so it was a little beat up. No big deal, just a few little scuffs here and there - I'm sure it'll blend right in once I've ridden it a few times.
