Vuelta wheelsets? Anyone use them?
 

Thinking to going to mechanical discs. Anyone have experience with any of the Vuelta wheelsets? Prices for them appear reasonable, but I've never seen a set or have any experience.

I use a set on my budget fixed bike i built awhile back....

issues:

1. quality control on the seam that joins the wheel together....can actually feel the seam "lip" where rim is joined together.

2. heavy!

i just bought a cheapie $100 set for my bike, but so far have had no problems.

I've got a pair that I'm using as a spare wheelset with slicks on my beater bike. They're look cool with their bladed spokes but they are heavy. I've been using them for the past six years and haven't had the need to true them. I'm 140 lbs and again, use them as a townie wheelset, YMMV. Got them on ebay for cheap.
