stem stuck on fork
 

so I used a pipe cutter to get my fork to the right length. The cut was great, the only issue is that it made a tiny lip around the edge of my fork. With some persuasion I was able to get the stem on and down a little bit but it stopped with 5mm until it hit my spacer. Now it won't budge in either direction and I'm stumped.

HELP!

Next time lightly file it. I'd pound it down with a rubber mallet if I was in your shoes.
