I have holzfeller 4 bolt cranks and just picked up a truvativ bashguard. Do i just unbolt the spider and throw the bashguard on?

Yep, that's pretty much it. A little bit of advice. If you've got aluminum chainring bolts get rid of them. I snapped 2 on my other bike.
