Which bag should i get?

Can someone help me????
I have to do a long trip (from Sardinia to Maui) I have to go with my carbon MTB and i am doubting between two types of suitcases for bikes.
Some people says that the hard case is the best, but its too heavy and when the people of handling have to move it around.... many times drop them while the semi rigid as the Polaris Bike Pod as is just 6,7 kg as its lighter guess they will be taking a bit more of care...
Don't know how secure will be in this Polaris Bike Pod, what do you think?

Should i get the Polaris Bike Pod or the B&W Touring bike box?
