I posted on another thread that I just started biking again a couple weeks ago. I am 54 in a week or so and have been walking to lose weight, and now the biking. I have been riding a hybrid on the local bike path that has a couple hard packed dirt areas. So a youngster at work invited me to try the trails near a local college. We hit it this morning. Single track, lots of roots a few stumps to navigate over and a few good size hills. About 7 miles or so . My arse is totally worn out! I was soaked from head to toe. I fell once, did not get hurt so that is a plus. I will attribute that to the grip shifters always acting up on me. But it was a great workout that I will do again. Lets see how I do when I get the Fisher Marlin next week. I tried a Fisher Wahoo, Trek 3900 disc, and A Trek 4 series and liked the Fisher 29er the most.
