Just turned 30, just got back into biking after 12 years (the bike was my b-day present to myself). It should come then as no big surprise that I am not very fast, and have little to no endurance.

I'm 46 and rides a bike too light and fast for my old azz. Four years ago, I was a homeless drug addict who was 70lbs overweight. After rehab, this is the 22lb bike that helped me lose those extra pounds and gave me that ripped, six-pack abs look:

I'm 19, turning 20 in December. I just started getting into mountain biking, though I've been a roadie for a few years now. I love it. :-)

Isn't that what people did back when you were growing up? Back when Jesus supposedly walked the Earth...

In my 40s... Ride with guys ranging from the early 30s, to almost 50. Been riding since I was 19 when I got a Ross (Gone). Then snagged a Nishiki Ariel (Gone), the a Bridgestone MB-3 (Gone - Miss this one a lot), then an original Bontrager OR Race Lite (see below), and now my Enduro. Eye'ing a Stumpy Carbon 29er next...

A bike for each decade!!

I'm 39 and yes I get spanked by 50+ guys all the time but just on the downhills. Just started MTBing this year. Came 7th overall 3rd in age class at my first race, there where 40 riders. Experience pays off big time!

Jeepnut, this post is for you. A pair of Nishiki Ariel's. The first is a 1992 with period correct Scott, Clark Kent sus fork. The second is a 1988 Ariel with an early 90's Duo Track fork. I ride the 88 regularly on a local packed gravel MUP. The 92 is taken out a few times each year to ride at a local single track trail. It still handles like a dream.

Nice Rocco!! I had a '90, like the lower one pictured. Mine was white, and I bent the stock fork within 3 months. Did ride great though!!

Thanks for the pics!!

i started riding mtb's when i was 15 (1995) and did so through 2004 -- after picking up road cycling and my mtb getting stolen that year i haven't gone back... but that'll soon change.
