OK, I'll buy your explanation and reasoning, Ed - - for you, it would be sort of a Trail-or-Park with squish.
BTW, this thread is the win for the week; not only for subject but because it brought B2B out of the woodwork. |
That's because he's been busy riding...I've been busy trying to get my house on the market so I can move closer to some nicer trails:lol: Landahl...here I come.
And yup...that's exactly what I was thinking regarding the Double. My Komodo would be a good urban rig if it were a Med...but I don't trust the wheelset for repeated droppy crap with my beefy man belly these days. I really should'a kept those Revolutions as a 2nd wheelset with some beefier tires for the bigger junk...but I needed the cash. |
The Double is capable of riding stairs. Wheeliemert demonstrates:

 as many times as I've looked at that pic...I never noticed the plank at the top of the railing. I thought he bunnyhopped up on to the rail:lol:

That was the tailgate from our neighbors' trailer. They had set it up and were hemming and hawing about hitting it when mert just rolled up and on-sighted it. I know I keep reposting but it's one of the most ridiculous maneuvers I've ever seen. Plus I'm sure it gets the helmet police bent out of shape, which makes me smile.

For XC, Marathon and good old Trail...this 2010 Anthem X2 is hard to beat. As it sits...its only 22.5lbs:

You seem to be missing the spirit of the thread , Dil'. Listing such a gawd-aweful weight solidifies my claim. My hardtail has you by 10lbs.;)

^^ More like it. Glad to see the Reign return.
And, ya . . . "all-'rounder" doesn't mean "race weenie trails one day / ride weenie trails the next." |
i will help you fixie with a few from across the pond:
