Took the wife this morning
I couldn't find anyone to ride the trails with me this morning. My wife thought she would like to go and enjoy the scenery. After 1/4 mile, she found a tree that did not move out of her way, several rocks, boulders and tree roots which were somewhat bothersome for her. She made it 2 miles into the trail before we headed back. On the way back she found out how to get to the bottom of a ditch with the bike on top of her. She now has new opinion and feeling about mountain biking. She is sore, has several bruises, scraps and cuts. I will go out again tomorrow and really ride the trails. I do not think she will try it again.

She is finally out of bed this morning. She is alive but looks like death warmed over or she was in a massive automoblie wreck. It is going to be a long day. I will definetly be at the trails today.

took my wife to a race she ended up on the podium in 2nd place - elite womens class. I didn't place as well and was in charge of watching kids and taking pics.

How is the Georgia International Horse Park Trail doing? The last time I was there, the first section was eroding some and then you went over the road, did the granite section and ducked back into the woods again and came back to the start. Do they still have endurance racing there?

when breaking in new talent do so gently and gradually. remember when you were building your skills? allow her the same courtesy. get your killer rides in but keep riding with her too. it will be good for your marriage.

Yeah. Go easy on her. I am still getting my wife to ride with me on the road. Not sure if I can convince her to go ride the trails.

I'm lucky to get my wife to ride around the block. Or, maybe I am lucky, as I have an excuse to get away for a while...

Glad to hear she is wanting to get back on the trail. That is a courageous attitude, no wonder she married you!

Funny. My wife unceremoneously dumped me last night. I tried to get her to ride a bike with me for years and she never did.
