5 bolt Chainrings for MTB.

I have a white industries crankset. It doesn't have any chainring bolts or chainrings, but I want to use it on a giant cadex.

Is there anyplace I might find chainrings for this or would I just have to steal them from another older crankset?

These are the older style, and when I looked around all i found new was 4 bolt chainrings for MTBs.

Your question doesn't make any sense. Current model White Industries cranks attach the chainring in a totally different way that doesn't use chainring bolts. You can only use chainrings that are made by White Industries.

However, if older White Industries cranks did in fact use 5 bolt chainrings, just measure the bolt circle diameter to determine what chainrings you need to buy or swap. Once you have the bolt circle diameter, try Universal cycles: www.universalcycles.com

If you have something like this, you need a tool to remove the old ring & replace with this.

To help find your B.C.D. on 4- or 5-bolt rings, print & use this ez chart.

it is indeed 5 bolt, with BCD of 110, 74. But when I looked on ebay it seems like all the mtb cranksets are 4 bolt now and no one seems to be selling the older 5 bolt which have the 44 33 22 teeth count rings.

Or if they do have them they are like $100... so why even bother with the older stuff?
