Still Looking for the right mountain bike

Unfortunately as the riding season is quickly coming to an end around here in Northeast Ohio I still haven't been able to make up my mind on what bike I should get. The one thing I do know for sure is that I do want a full suspension bike. I was able to borrow my buddies Canondale and all I can say is wow what a major difference between that and my hard tail Mongoose! I was able to make it up hills and ride over large roots and rocks that I'm not normally able to.

So far I have been looking at the Specialized Epic Comp 29er and now the Trek Fuel EX-8. They are at the same price point but I'm starting to get a little confused on the differences in components and what I should be looking for. I would be grateful for any and all suggestions you might have for me. Even if you have a suggestion of a different bike I should check out as well.

Thanks for all your help!

Mike

I'd have to agree with the above, get the most comfortable and ignore other bikers when it comes to being cool etc. Don't worry about what they think.

Also, keep the hard-tail as well, it will increase your options.
