I have been looking for a good beginners bike and wondered what you guys thought. I do a few trails now and again, and am looking at a 17"frame.

I am considering the specialized hardrock, trek 3500 and the ridgeback mx4.

both are excellent bikes, either one is a win.

I have a Hardrock sport. Rode hard and put wet if you know what mean. I have never had an issue with the bike except for when the handlebar loosened during a ride. Tightened the clamp and away I went. Came home and checked the other bolts. All were tight. Excellent bike!
