does anyone know anything about an Omni 191 fork? I'm assuming its low end........but is it ok for entry level trail riding? Thanks!!

it's better than nothing, i guess. it is pretty low end, for a few bucks more you could get a good low end rock shox that would be better.

If you have a threaded head or a 1" steertube, then their isn't much out there and you might as well stay with the Omni. If you're talking about a 1 1/8 threadless headset, IMHO, I'd spend the same money on a used fork from ebay, Something like a Rock Shox or may be a late model Manitou or Marzocchi. As long as the used fork is in good shape it has to be better than the OMNI.
The OMNI is primarily used on more expensive Wally World MTBs. So it's sort of the best of the really low end stuff. Not much of an endorsement.

Just keep in mind that not all Rockshox are created equal. They had quite a few low-end turds as well. Most of the Jetts were undamped coil/elastomer-stack POSs. IF you decide to shop for a replacement, look for something that has a rebound damping circuit. This is the most important feature that controls a fork's behavior.
