ID a frame?

So I had this frame laying around and I've been meaning to find out what it was. I know nothing about it but hopefully all these great bike minds can come together and figure something out.

Looks like GT's triple triangle. To get more specific than that, we'd need more details. Was there a serial number anywhere? Though I guess that was painted over.

I can tell you that it's not a GT. It does have the serial number, I'll post it up tomorrow afternoon since that's when I'll be back home. It's made out of steel.
Everyone I've asked just can't figure it out.

Agreed. GT seat stays don't join until the top tube normally (always?)
