Replacement for ancient Marzocchi XC500
So I've finally come to the conclusion that I will not be able to save this old fork. I need a replacement for my hardtail, which is mostly hooked up to my bike trailer these days. I don't need crazy travel, and I'd love to keep the cantis, though that might be impossible, I realize. I'm a roadie, so I know next to nothing about mountain bikes. What's a good replacement? Thanks for the help!

If you're not doing technical or real bumpy stuff a Kona P2 rigid fork would be a good choice. I think.

Why do you think you can't save this fork??
Best Regards / Viele Grüße Marcus E-Mail: Dr_Marzocchi@kraeMit.de WWW: http://marzocchi.projectweb.de/ Marcus, sounds like OP is looking for a replacement. Dunno if he'd want to go all in with refurbing the old fork. Good to know you offer the service to breathe new life into a classic fork. OP - offer up that fork on ebay and the retro bike forums for sale. It might fetch a pretty penny to fund the bike rebuild. |
