ProGRT - Port Angeles, WA
Heading out this morning for the opening round of the ProGRT downhill. The roadshow is starting right here in my home state - - albeit over on the (really) wet side in Port Angeles.
I'm stoked. The Yeti factory team will be there and it should be an awesome weekend of racing. A preview of the Pro/Cat 1 course we will be on (Cat 2s and 3s get their own, separate courses).
Fortunately I've ridden most of this course last year, in NW Cup race #3, so there will just be a bit of new to learn.

Stellar weekend of racing. ODS (Olympic Dirt society) outdid themselves on the course; rain (more or less) behaved and big names brought big racing to the PNW. Got to meet Damion, Yeti Factory Team manager and soak up the atmosphere of a National again.
For my part, squeeked onto the podium with a third in the 50+ Cat 1. Felt good to hold my own on a gnarly Pro/Cat 1 course. Tired and pleased; time for a good dinner and hitting the road home tomorrow.

Really great Vid. I was hanging on with the jumps.
This was with a DH? If you don't mind, what was the tire pressure? I recently lowered the tire pressure on my DH to 32lbs. Seems ridiculously low but it performs well there and I stopped getting flats.

I'm running 20-25 psi on 2-ply Kenda Excavator 2.5s with Kenda heavy duty XC tubes (1.2mm wall). I can't remember the last time I pinch-flatted.
The jump at 1:21 in the vid was super-fun; you're screaming down a fairly straight stretch and it's a long hip to the bank on the right, so you can hit it pretty much pinned and not worry about overshooting anything. Throw a little hip into it and it aims you right back down off the bank.
Some pics from the weekend (can't embed because Greg has that blocked):
