Marzocchi MX comp help

I recently acquired a new bike fitted with Marzocchi MX comp forks. I was experimenting with the suspension settings as you do when you have a shiny new bike and now I need to check I got the oil levels right. The website suggests 135 cc of oil for my weight and riding style. But when I upturned the bike and released the top cap I am only getting about 100 ml of oil. Am I doing this right ? Is there still a load of oil trapped in there. I think the level is about right though, because if I remember when I first took the top caps off, the suspension sank down to the bottom and the oil level was just below the threaded section for the top caps, which is where I refilled it to.

Please help, I know I shouldn’t have gotten into something I don’t understand that well, but I have so I need to sort it.

When you clean out the oil its recomended that you pump the fork to get all the traped oil out leave it for a couple of hours even overnight, and then cycle the fork some more. You can even you absorbant rag or tisue and stuff it in the legs to get all the oil and muck out.

Yo said you refilled the oil to the same height? If your oil was clean when it came out, and providing you used the same oil to refill it with, then you should not have much problems.
Even if you use different oil it should not be a big problem, but I'd advise doing it again if your not sure. Marzocchi's website has info on oil height/amount although I could not find any decent detail'd instruction on oil changing, but it seems you did it right. Changing the oil on MX comp's is not hard, you just got to make sure you get all the old oil and muck out then put the correct amount in. Put to much in and you will not get all your travel (although you never get the whole amount anyway), to little and it will bottom out harshly.

Mor importantly how do your forks feel after the oil change, you did'nt say? and what made you do a fool ass thing like change the oil anyway? other than the fact it look'd a good idea at the time.
