What do you think of this price? 1996 GT LTS - $315

Hi everyone,

https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv...396451309.html

He's going to call me and I will be getting details on how big/where/and how that ding in the frame happened, as well as basic questions regarding the condition of the bike. I only have experience with road bikes, but I'm assuming a small ding on one of these mtb frames is negligible? I'm trying to find a full suspension bike, and I rather like the old school models since all my bikes are toward the vintage era. This seemed like a solid mix of components and reviews I've read on the frame have nothing but good things to say.

I'm very new in the mountain bike world, especially when it comes to the price of such components. So what do you guys think? Is this price fair? If not, what IS a fair price for this package?

Many thanks in advance,
-Armand

looks good to me

and the price seems right

If everything works as it should

I would be weary of that he has geared it pretty high, so slow climbs will not happen easily, but no problem.

I have also heard that Gt did some crazy things, and this seems to be one of them from back in the 90's
I'm also not sure if you can call this a full suspension, because it looks like a soft tail, but I could be wrong

Go see it, test everything out and make sure everything works like new, and tell him you couldn't get $315 and give him $300

To much money for that bike. I'd rather start with something newer even if it's just a base model. I just posted this for an example on a different post but since you are in LA I'd give this guy a call.
