SRAM Rival or Shimano 105

Hey All

Did search on the matter with little luck. I know alot comes down to preference, but figured i would look to get some input from those of you that have used the flight sets.

I am getting a new bike...i can get the bike with shimano 105 5700/5701 flight deck or a sram Rival kit. Anyone have any input on which i should go with. I heard the new 105s are better but aren't they the 5800s. Anyway, any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I have sram on my mountain bike and truly like it...have ultegra on my road bike and truly like that...so any pros or cons you have found with the two flight decks in which you would like to share would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Those are road components. This is the mountain bike sub-forum.

You'll get more responses if you posted on the right sub-forum.

Unless he's talking about cassettes. Some bikes use road cassettes, I know because I'm privy to all of Gastro's bike builds in the planning stages.
