Yeah, this winter is downright frigid.

giantcfr1 03-10-14 04:54 AM

I may have done a stupid thing today. I bought a saddle I didn't need on impulse because of looks, colour etc., not width. It's 2cm slimmer than my current fantastically comfortable but freekn ugly saddle.

dminor 03-11-14 12:17 AM

Haha - - that's what eBay's for ;-)

I think sled season is fast ending out here. Really think you should get a Timbersled conversion for that badboy KTM instead.

Fitted it today, and trying to convince myself that I will be out of the saddle most of the time. :o eBay it may be.

^^ Like. If it's at all comfortable, I say keep it.

And if it's not, send it to me. :p

Going back to micro drive. Doing it properly this time though...

Getting used to it now, once I adjusted the angle etc. All is good. :thumb:

Lose the skate park last year, and now thanks to some stupid person who didn't heed the signs, lost the pumptrack and jumps. Good thing there are places still in the area.

dminor 03-31-14 11:55 PM

OK - - admittedly still behind in my Supercross viewing (well, and my DVR dumped a few on me :notamused:). BUT - - just saw the most amazing performance by Stewart at Toronto. Holy cow, that guy is not human. That and Villipoto showing as well as he did after no track time before his heat. Amazing night on a brutal track.

cryptid01 04-09-14 12:35 PM

That was indeed an inspired run by Stewart.

I think Dirt Wurkz has been doing a good job lately, mixing it up with the dragons backs and variable spacing through the rhythm sections. Makes for better racing and more interesting viewing than just a DJ style flow line. Tougher on the riders though.

Dannihilator 04-09-14 09:09 PM

I'm glad to see that Stewart's got his mojo back. It's a better series when he's on his A game.

Award for ugliest high end component of all time?

dminor 04-11-14 11:46 PM

If it was one of those Japanese faux-trucks, they'd call it "muscular styling". I'll stick to RaceFace.

mzeffex 04-12-14 12:36 AM

Hey guys!

It's been a while, but I moved to Colorado. Pretty fantastic riding.

dminor 04-12-14 10:16 AM

Welcome back mz!

hahaha muscular styling. I can see those beefy shoulders poking out.

Also, welcome to Colorado MZ! If you ever head south to the boulder golden area we should go ride.

Definitely, I was actually down in Boulder today riding Valmont. Pretty fun. I did a cross race there last fall, but hadn't used it as it's intended until today.

Ugly as sin and stupid bolt pattern. Way to go Shimano.

It would be fun, but for the cost of a Timbersled I can get a decent used sled plus a set of Trelleborgs.

It snowed here again today but I'm heading down to my old stomping grounds next week to get my pedal on.

mzeffex 04-25-14 10:33 AM

Taking a trip up to Curt Gowdy State Park west of Cheyenne, WY today. Supposed to be an epic ranked IMBA trail network. Pretty stoked for that.

Oscar Blues brewing co /Reeb cycles bought a big farm about a mile from my house. Gonna be the bike farm guide service and the like. Right now they are building some hug he hits on a hill. I can't help but think something sick will god down there this summer.http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=377223

Made the mistake of clumping all my regular forums into these 'folder' doodads all the kids are talking about these days, & now I never see them & think to check up when I'm surfing the intranetz. North GA has opened it's beautiful world to me with the help of some locals (the "nuggets" of Dahlonega) & there is indeed some good riding around here. Still XC, but tight, technical, rocky, fun XC. But I got myself a little DR two fiddy dual sport so most of my time has been spent doing some extralegal exploring with the help of a motor & my excellent tour guides. Also realizing that the world up here is not as big as it once seemed. Some excellent riding can be found within an hours drive, which isn't quite as long as it seemed when I was living in the city & everything was 5 minutes away. Supposed to be doing some riding tomorrow, but we'll see what this tornado weather has to say about that.

dminor 04-28-14 11:40 PM

I think I am in a time warp today. First, my cell phone thought it was 4 days ago and did not retain any current browsing history and was way behind on messages. The 66 posts here . . . and then the long-lost samburger. Is this really April 28, 2014?

Dang, good to see you guys back.
