well, its a low end bike by the looks of it. I can tell that the cranks are poo, and the rear derailleur is poo, probably the shifters and handlebars and everything are poo. And that means that the wheels and brakes might not be too good. But thats coming from somebody who has enough money to get whatever bike he wants really. I dont know, I wouldent buy that bike, But $450 might be a good price.....lets see what the rest of the members say.

I say go for it, is this your first mountain bike? Make sure the bike fits, then ride it until you kill it. When the bike starts to hold you back, is time to upgrade, or think about a new bike. Until then, this bike should do what you want.

Any reason you wouldn't go with Giant, Trek, or Gary Fisher? They make some good bikes in your range. I know the Giant and Trek have very different feels as I got the Trek and my husband got the Giant (the Trek frame fit me better). If you haven't looked into these, you should try. (Unless of course you pay a big import charge for being in Canada)

well the import fees do hurt a little, but i like the service and warranties i get with norco. Besides it's too hard to find trek, or gary exct. type bikes especially in sudbury. Pretty much the only ohter choices i can get with god choices are specialized, raleigh, bolie, and a few other i can't remember off hand.

go with the Norco...they make solid rides...and they have awsome support if **** breaks. Americans haven't been enlightened to the quality of Norco products yet. (No offence)

Well his warranty is up, so i'll just throw his bike in front of a truck again, that should hurt him even more.

Didja get a bike yet?
I'd say get the NORCO and ride it until it dies, and then get something else and ride it until it dies, and then start over! $450 CND is a great deal for that bike! That's like $282 USD
Replace parts as they break or as you get some more $$$$.
Just save enough money to buy a decent helmet!

Hey, you and Freeride need to hook up. You're both from the same place.
