Is this a good bicycle?
Hey guys, you may have seen my other post about a decent bike that wont break. If you haven't, let me fill you in... I'm looking for a new bike, that can handle almost anything I can throw at it. Now I don't mean like dropping it off a clift, but being able to hit small jumps or jumping off small ledges, without breaking the parts. I was looking on craigslist and found a good bike, and I would like you guys to check it out (will include link at the end). The bike doesn't appear to have a full suspension. Is that necessarily a bad thing? Also do you think the bike is at a fair price? I would be grateful for your guys help! Thanks! Here is the link: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/sat/bik/2466638000.html

it is a great bike, as long as you are not dropping if off a clift. price is more than fair.

I think the price is kinda steep for a 2004 bike with MSRP of $289. Maybe you could talk 'em down to a buck and a quarter.

It looks rarely used and brand new for that matter without a huge picture and seeing it firsthand. If it is rarely used, I think it's fairly priced for what you can buy a brand new one for today. $ 175, that's about what I paid for a Sports Authority Fuji MX-200 atb brand new in the late 90's. But this one, "limited use", it essentially is more than likely like last year's model on the showroom floor at the LBS. Bikes Direct ? can they put you onto similar for $ 300+ ? But it won't be a Trek.

Boy, if I had a nickel for every time I've seen someone advertise something that has had "limited usage"... come to think of it, I do.
