haha...between all the stitches, broken bones and concussions, you would probably tell me the same thing. Sports comes with injuries. Its the price we pay.

swifferman 11-13-04 10:32 PM

Oh man I haven't fallen in a while except (don't laugh) while walking my bike, my pants usually get caught or I hit a door snag and I lose my balance and fall on my bike. This has happened at least 3 times int he past year :(

issues034 11-14-04 09:29 AM

Well stretch like maelstrom said sports come with injuries, and if I was to start playing chess I think I would hurt my brain from all the thinking I would have to do... But I do know how to play chess so mybe when I'm like 50 I'll take up chess.

arboc! 11-14-04 04:25 PM

i hit a step down and i just learned crank flips, and i landed and got a green stick fracture, which sux because if there one thing i love more than mountain biking its snow boarding and i have to sit the whole season out. also i like to walk and i cant do that either

Maelstrom 11-14-04 04:26 PM

nice on the crank flips...bad on the injury...

issues034 11-14-04 04:36 PM

Bummer thats gonna suck so bad, hearing all you snowbardin buddy talking bout it and you gotta sit there and hear about them having a good time and you cant go with them, thats gonna blow.

Funkychicken 11-14-04 04:41 PM

had a stupid crash y'day. i decided to take one hand off the handlebar while riding on this relatively smooth straight on the firetrail to grab the camelbak hose and take a sip. hit a perfectly timed bump, knocked me off course by about 5 degrees, and went surely, steadily into the bush where i was "stopped" by a large tree.

i'm glad no-one was watching, especially after my stupid comments on the poser thread :p

arboc! 11-14-04 04:42 PM

the worst part is i broke both the bones in the same leg and was out for 3 months in summer. 2 months after im totally healed i go and do this... same leg.

issues034 11-14-04 05:50 PM

That really sucks dude.

cryogenic 11-14-04 05:54 PM

issues034 11-14-04 05:58 PM

You know what thats not a bad idea how about next thursday at say 3:30 in the afternoon.

cryogenic 11-14-04 06:07 PM

one of you will end up tripping and falling onto the chess table and putting an eye out on the queen.

issues034 11-14-04 06:09 PM

He can have that injurie, I wanna tip over and fracture my head to the corner of the table.

PWRDbyTRD 11-14-04 06:12 PM

issues034 11-14-04 06:24 PM

mtnbiker66 11-14-04 06:26 PM

So, mael, how old are you? (If you don't mind).

I've had my share of crashes, all while being reckless. Once, I flipped off the back of my bike when pulling a wheelie, I ended up crouching on the ground with the handlebars held 2 cm above from my head. Then the 37lb bike got the best of me, and I teetered onto my butt.

Then this other time, I was riding on a slant and then my front washed out and I when down uncontrably for about 20 meters, hit a log and fell to my side.

I've also done a number of falls when I pulled my handlebars to the side too much, and just fell.

cryogenic 11-14-04 08:29 PM

When I first got clipless pedals they were a bit tighter than I realized... I went to stop at a redlight, tried to unclip, lost balance and fell over to the right still attatched to the bike. It didn't hurt or anything and I laid there laughing for a couple of minutes. I haven't done it since, though.

issues034 11-14-04 08:33 PM

Did you hit the log or did the bike hit it and you fell kinda thing?

cryogenic 11-15-04 05:07 AM

did who hit the log? Your post is directly below mine so I'd normally expect that you were replying to me except that there's no mention of a log in my post... lol

rfctx 11-15-04 10:43 AM

Bounced off the pavement the other day. I ride a paved park path here in Houston, where a number of bikes, joggers, in-lines, and walkers frequent. So I try to ride at off times with less traffic. Last week a fellow steps out in front of me after (I think because) I gave the “on your left” shout. I dropped at about 16MPH … hit the pavement … slid on my peddles and helmet … got up and was amazed that I didn’t have any evidence of road rash. Bike got chipped but was fine. How lucky! I road moto-cross for a few years (in another life) and must have some of those skills left.

littleriderdave 11-15-04 11:46 AM

tooka small drop yesterday, and i landed it, but my head came down too and i knocked a tooth out when my teeth hit my hand. When i hit my hand with my teeth, i took a chunk out of my thumb. stung for ages.

stapfam 11-15-04 12:56 PM

If your not trying hard enough, you don't fall off. Some of us can't afford to fall off because we have to work the next day. Just a tip, Fall off check your helmet for damage. I'm on my 3rd one in 4 years through damage, but at least I worked the next day
